Geomembranes are some of the strongest materials on the market, BTL's ArmorPro is durable against damage, and can hold very abrasive chemicals within. A blend of flexible, impermeable polymers are woven together in order to create a material that is resistant to tears, rips, punctures, and even damage from UV radiation. ArmorPro liners are made out of an HDPE core encased in an engineered coating. This blend of highly durable material can contain even the most corrosive substances, like jet fuel, or oil tailings.
Some geomembranes have more resistance to other kinds of damage than others. While most woven materials have been treated in order to withstand UV radiation, others, like PVC, may become brittle underneath extended periods of sunlight exposure.
