Grocery stores are having trouble sourcing, or are simply paying more for many of the products they would usually have. The food demand is nearly doubling with population growth, and the output is not enough to keep up with supply in demand. While major grocery stores have more money to purchase food at the rising prices, stores that aren't as well funded are struggling to keep up.
