RPE liners are generally well suited for regions that experience frost because their reinforced structure helps them tolerate ground movement during freeze-thaw cycles. As the soil shifts with temperature changes, the liner’s layered design allows it to flex rather than tear, which reduces the chance of punctures or stress cracks.
Their low water absorption also means they are less prone to weakening when exposed to repeated freezing. While no liner is completely immune to extreme conditions, RPE tends to maintain its strength and pliability better than many traditional materials, giving it a strong record of performance in cold climates.
