You'll want to turn off and remove your pond pump and filters once temperatures are between 40-50 degrees and you are no longer providing fish food. Most pumps will have a minimum operating temperature listed in their user manual or on their manufacturer's website. Use this number as a guide for when its time to move your pump inside.
Ice can cause serious damage to your pond pump and other equipment. Water expands as it freezes, and doing so inside of your pump may irreparably damage the internal hardware.
