Can you patch an EPDM liner?

EPDM although preparation for patching may be labor-intensive, the basic procedure for patching EPDM is very similar to repairing a bicycle tire. The section you're patching must be dry, meaning you'll need to lower the water level in your pond during the patching and curing process. Next, you'll need a piece of EPDM material to use as a patch. You can buy a kit that has everything you need, or you can use a piece of the EPDM that you might have leftover.

Cut the patch to allow several inches of overlap over the damaged area. This ensures an effective seal. Next, clean the area and then apply adhesive to the patch, allowing it to dry for a few minutes and become tacky. Apply the patch and hold it securely in place for 30 seconds, ensuring there aren’t any creases. Use a roller to remove any wrinkles or air pockets, which may allow water to pass through.
