Aeroponics is a perfect growing system to use in vertical farming setups. Since roots hang in the air, vertical structures do not need extra strength to support many pounds of soil for traditional plantings, or even more pounds of water for a typical hydroponics setup.
In a vertical aeroponics setup, in fact, it's a simple matter to place a single, relatively small nutrient reservoir up high, and taking advantage of gravity to help move the water. When the pump doesn't have to move the water up 8 feet to start with, it's able to supply additional nozzles at the same power level.
