Do I need a permit to pump groundwater into my lagoon?

Different states and local municipalities will have different restrictions on whether you may pump groundwater from your property, and what it can be used for. This is more likely to be regulated in places heavily affected by drought or groundwater shortages. Check with your local government to see what restrictions there are when it comes to pumping groundwater.

In California, pumping groundwater may be completely restricted, or may be restricted when it comes to uses that aren't neccessary for life.
