How are aeroponics systems maintained?

In aeroponics, the most important maintenance chores are sanitizing and sterilizing. Of course, it's always important to check equipment for proper functioning, but to keep your plants healthy and safe, don't let these two chores slip by. First, keep your growing space clean and dust free. Remove dead leaves from your plants and don't leave them laying around.

The most critical area to focus on, however, is your reservoir. The reservoir, which is the container where your roots hang out and the mist is sprayed, so it should be kept sterile. Fortunately, keeping it clean isn't any more complex than cleaning the bathroom. Using bleach or hydrogen peroxide, scrub the inside of the reservoir thoroughly, and rinse it well. Give the misting nozzles some love as well.
