How can I use the water from a groundwater storage lagoon?

Groundwater lagoons are normally used to store water for livestock's drinking water and small-scale irrigation. It can also be used for drinking water if its properly treated and stored safely. A lagoon will need to be lined with an impermeable liner to prevent seepage into or out of the lagoon.

If precipitation or runoff may affect the water's quality, an impermeable cover may be used.
