How do you install an EPDM liner?

The reliability and flexibility of an EPDM pond liner makes it a great choice when installing a pond. Very briefly, you'll need to excavate your pond and prepare the floor and sides to eliminate any protruding rocks or roots. Install a non-woven geotextile underlayment that will extend beyond the reach of the liner material to protect the liner from punctures or tears.

Once the underlayment is in place, carefully unfold the liner and allow it to overlap the sides of the pond, working from the center outwards to push the liner into any corners or shelves until it completely fills the profile of your pond sides. Anchor your liner so it doesn't slip over time, and protect the liner that extends over the border with soil or rounded stones.
