Some of the most reinforced geomembranes can last hundreds of years, if properly installed and maintained. A standard geomembrane liner, protected from the elements, can last several decades as a pond liner. PVC products have been proven to last upwards of 20 years, while RPE's can last up to and over 40.
It's important to properly install your liner to ensure its longevity. Damage, creases, or points of unequal stress can cause undue stress on your liner, and vastly shrink its lifetime. \
