It's a good idea to clear your natural pool of debris every few days by removing leaves or algae with a vacuum or skimmer. Floating debris can be easily removed with a skimmer or net. A vacuum will be more helpful when it comes to cleaning the pool's floor or its sides.
Visually inspect your pool every couple of days, and make sure that your regeneration zone is happy and functioning well. It's especially important to inspect your pool after a major storm, or if there's been any recent flooding.
