Watering cycles for aeroponics setups can vary quite a bit. There are different types of setups, based on the power of the pump. Low pressure systems produce fairly large droplets, which readily drip and aren't absorbed as rapidly as a finer mist. Their watering cycles will be more frequent and last longer.
High pressure aeroponics use more powerful pumps and very fine mist nozzles. The tiny droplets (small than the diameter of a human hair) are absorbed almost instantly, so there is virtually no loss to dripping. This allows for much shorter watering periods and longer breaks between. A fairly standard schedule is 15 seconds of misting every 5 minutes. Be sure to research your plant's needs, of course, as every species will have its own preferences.
