is HDPE toxic?

HDPE is BPA free, and certified by the FDA and NSF to be safe for use with products or materials that are exposed to humans.

HDPE plastics are completely free from BPA and therefore safe for human-use applications. Like BPA, HDPE is a plastic made from petroleum. However, it is not manufactured with any of the same toxic chemicals found in BPA.
