Food shortages in the U.S. are predicted by some experts as a long-term problem due to climate change and supply chain disruptions. There are already examples of shortages in other countries and America; a good example is the baby formula shortage. The recent pandemic has also halted some food production because of workers losing their jobs or becoming ill.
Another important recent world crisis other than the pandemic would be the war on Ukraine. With war comes sanctions, refugees seeking help, and infrastructure demolishion. These factors would bring forth the threat of climbing food prices, scarcity, and lack of resources to fill the grocery stores' shelves.
