Lots of flowers do very well in aquaponic systems, popular choices include roses, marigolds, pansies, and naturally, water lillies. Most flowers appreciate warmer waters, between 60°F and 70°F. However, flower growth is encouraged when the air is warmer than the water, ideally somewhere between 70°F and 85°F.

Certain aromatic flowers are natural insect repellants due to their scent, and can be a huge help in dealing with pest infestations.
