What is fogponics?

Fogponics is a subset of aeroponics that uses high humidity instead of a fine mist to supply water and nutrients to plants, similar to the conditions found in rainforests. Fog is produced by electric foggers that pump and vibrate nutrient enriched water under pressure into the growth chamber. The resulting fog provides both moisture and nutrients that are constantly and completely available to the roots, since the droplets in fog float and can penetrate and cover all surfaces of the root mass.

Even though the plants are constantly enveloped in fog, they still have access to abundant oxygen, just as you do when you find yourself traveling through early morning fog banks. This ideal set of conditions makes fogponics systems ideal for cloning cuttings, starting seedlings, and producing green vegetables and herbs.
