What is High Pressure aeroponics?

High Pressure Aeroponics (HPA) are characterized by the ultra fine mist they produce, powered by high pressure pumps. These high pressure pumps are usually rated at 80 psi or higher and are strong enough to pass nutrient water through fine mist nozzles that produce droplets as small as 20-50 microns. This is a key measurement because that's the range where the nutrient solution is most available and rapidly absorbed by plant roots. When the roots can absorb water and nutrients quickly, their oxygen exposure is plentiful, which is the key advantage to aeroponics.

When plant roots are exposed to plenty of oxygen, they're able to absorb and utilize the water and nutrients easily, leading to faster, more plentiful, and healthier plant development. In fact, there's evidence that plants produced in high pressure aeroponics systems may be more nutritious than soil-grown or even hydroponically grown samples.
