What steps should you take once you’ve ordered your farm pond liner?

Farm pond liners can be quite large, which means you’ll need to make some special preparations to be ready when the liner arrives. First off, you’ll want to make sure that you have a way to move the liner. Liners will often ship by freight, so it is helpful if the shipping company selected can provide a truck with a liftgate. Failing that, you may need to rent a forklift. Check with your supplier to see if the liner will be delivered in a roll on a hollow core, or whether it will arrive folded. Folded liners that are on pallets can be moved with a regular forklift, but if your liner comes rolled, you’ll need to get a lift with a carpet puller attachment that can be inserted into the core.

When the liner arrives, you’ll want to protect your investment. Inspect the liner thoroughly before you sign for it. If it was damaged during shipping, the shipping company may be held responsible for replacement costs.
