The food shortage is being caused by various factors in our country and in the world. Within our country, we are facing a very probable recession that would push food prices to skyrocket and therefore less demand for said food since people will not be able to afford it. In the global perspective, the war in Ukraine is affecting the food supply, since Ukraine is the fifth largest producer of wheat in the world.
The food shortage is being caused by global warming as well. The climate crisis affects water sources, the land, the weather, etc. The rising temperatures around the globe is scorching crops and creating droughts.
