Professional installers appreciate RPE's relative easy installation compared to EPDM. Because RPE is twice as strong but only 1/3 the weight of EPDM rubber liners, a small crew can install a massive RPE panel in a fraction of the time it takes to wrestle with heavy EPDM.
EPDM is so heavy, it has to be delivered in smaller panels and requires substantially more field seaming. To make matters worse, EPDM is especially vulnerable to surface scuffs from dragging, which is almost impossible to avoid when you're trying to adjust the position of a panel.
