BTL Liners Featured on Discovery Channel’s #1 Show Gold Rush (November 7, 2016, PRINEVILLE, Ore.) — Oregon-based geomembrane containment fabricator, BTL Liners, recently completed a lining project for Discovery Channel’s #1 show Gold Rush. The installation of the lining project was recently featured on the November 4 episode of Gold Rush titled, “Mutiny”. Gold Rush, which kicked off its seventh season in October, focuses on the mining of gold placer deposits by various teams of miners. The docu-reality series has typically taken place in the Yukon Territory of Canada. This season; however, it follows one team of miners that moved its operations to Oregon. As an Oregon-owned and operated geomembrane containment company, BTL Liners specializes in providing containment solutions for the mining industry. For the Gold Rush project, BTL provided an approximately 85,000 square foot (roughly two acres) liner made from the BTL-30 lining material. The actual size of the settling pond is 160’ x 525’. In addition to the liner, BTL provided 300 linear feet of turbidity curtain, which is used to knock sediment down as water flows from one end to another. All materials were donated by BTL Liners. BTL Liners delivered the materials and provided eight employees to assist with the installation at the new Gold Rush mine in Oregon. The installation of the settling pond liner and the turbidity curtain are featured on the November 4 episode of Gold Rush. Gold Rush airs Fridays at 9pm on the Discovery Channel.
